We provide antenatal care under the Maternity and Infant Care Scheme. This means that antenatal care is free for all women. Please note that visits unrelated with your pregnancy are not covered by the scheme, and if you do not have a medical or doctor visit card, there will be a charge for such appointments.

It is a fact that men attend their GP less frequently than women. We are very sensitive to men’s needs and are happy to discuss any issues you may have.

2-week baby checks, 6-week baby checks, childhood vaccinations, management of acute illness and any ongoing issues your child may have.

We provide evidence-based management for many chronic diseases including Diabetes, Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Irregular Heartbeat (Atrial Fibrillation), Transient Ischemic Attach (TIA) etc.

It can be difficult to discuss your mental health. Rest assured we will be very understanding and provide you with the appropriate treatment options.

We provide a full range of contraceptive services. We are happy to discuss your individual contraceptive needs so you can make informed choices about the best method for you. We are very experienced at fitting Mirena/Kyleena Coils and Implanons. While we do not provide vasectomies on-site, we are happy to discuss it with you and direct you to an appropriate service. Please feel free to make an appointment to discuss the female and male options so you can decide the best method for your needs.

We provide STD screening and check for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV, Hepatitis B and Syphilis.

We offer travel vaccinations, malaria prevention, advise on sun safety, travellers’ illness prevention and sexual health in travellers. Please book well in advance of your trip to ensure you get your vaccinations in time.

The consultation will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

We provide these reports for patients registered with our practice.

We provide annual flu vaccines, pneumococcal vaccines, Covid vaccines and childhood vaccines.

Some of our doctors are trained and experienced in minor surgery, with the assistance of our highly trained practice nurses. The practice is fully equipped to offer a broad range of procedures to our patients.

Most surgical procedures are often fully covered by the health insurance companies – VHI, LAYA, AVIVA and Irish Life Health, which pay the practice directly.

Medical card holders are also covered in some cases.

All surgery requires a pre-surgical assessment appointment with the treating doctor to discuss the procedure and complications.

The range of services available include:

• Removal of skin lesions, moles, sebaceous cysts and lipomas.
• Removal of ingrown toenails
• Wound care, suturing and dressings
• Abscess – Incision and drainage

• INR warfarin blood checks
• Eyesight/driving license report
• Passport Form applications
• Non-medical letters
• Sports club pre-membership medicals
• Travel Vaccinations
• Some vaccinations not covered under the National Childhood Immunisation programme
• Insurance, Medical or Legal Reports
