Every patient over the age of 70 registered with practice is entitled to attend free of charge – Once you have applied for and received your Doctor Visit card. This is not means tested.
If you do not register, you will continue to be asked for payment. A Medical Card or Doctor Visit card must be produced in surgery to avail of the free visits.
The HSE will not automatically issue you with a card. You need to register yourself as per instructions on the HSE website.
